2012 Volkswagen Beetle 2.0L Diesel · CK62 AEP

The vehicle demonstrates stable roadworthiness, with no defects recorded in its most recent 2026 MOT at 165,611 miles. All prior tests from 2021 to 2024 also passed without issues, indicating consistent maintenance and no emerging mechanical concerns. The absence of advisories or failures across five consecutive MOTs suggests the car has been well-maintained, with no significant deterioration in critical systems such as brakes, suspension, or emissions. The mileage progression aligns with typical usage for a 14-year-old vehicle, averaging 11,829 miles annually. A notable jump from 116,712 miles (2022) to 135,213 miles (2024) reflects increased usage over two years, but no defects arose during this period. The 2023 test at 117,495 miles followed closely after the 2022 test, suggesting regular servicing. The MOT history lacks gaps, reinforcing a pattern of consistent monitoring without evidence of neglect. A buyer should inspect suspension components, particularly bushes and coil springs, for age-related wear, as these often degrade over time. Brake discs and calipers should be checked for uneven wear or corrosion, though no issues were flagged. The exhaust system and underbody may require scrutiny for rust, common in older vehicles. While the MOT record shows no red flags, a physical inspection is essential to confirm the absence of hidden damage or unresolved faults not captured in the tests.
