2006 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4L Petrol · CP56 AEG

This vehicle is currently roadworthy, having passed its most recent MOT on 30 April 2026 at 65,744 miles with a clean sheet and no advisories. This represents a significant improvement in the maintenance trend. For four consecutive years, the vehicle carried a long list of recurring defects, but the latest result suggests a comprehensive period of rectification. The mileage is exceptionally low for a twenty year old car, averaging roughly 3,287 miles per year. The record shows very little usage between May 2024 and March 2025, with the odometer moving only 183 miles. Such low usage often leads to the perishing of rubber components and the onset of corrosion, which is evident in the historical data. A buyer must verify the current state of the underbody and suspension. Between May 2022 and March 2025, the tester repeatedly flagged a corroded offside front coil spring and general underbody corrosion, including a corroded front sub-frame in May 2024. While the April 2026 test is clean, the history of structural rust and worn Macpherson strut bushes suggests a vehicle that suffered from age-related degradation rather than wear and tear. The persistent oil leak noted from May 2022 through March 2025 is another point of concern. It remained an advisory for four years, indicating a long-term leak that the previous owner chose not to repair. You should check the engine bay for fresh residue and inspect the tyres for cracking, as the March 2025 test flagged perishing front tyres, a common symptom of a car left standing for long periods.
