2007 Volkswagen Polo 1.2L Petrol · CP57 LWE

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, having passed its most recent inspection on 26 January 2026 at 62,202 miles. The maintenance trend appears stable, as the record shows no recorded defects in the last three successful tests, indicating that the primary mechanical and structural components met the minimum legal standards. The failures recorded in January 2025 and January 2026 likely represent isolated issues that were rectified immediately prior to the passing results. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a 19-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,274 miles per year. Between January 2024 and January 2025, the car covered only 1,532 miles, and it added just 394 miles in the twelve months leading up to the latest test. This low usage suggests the vehicle has minimal wear on the drivetrain and engine components, but long periods of standing often lead to the degradation of rubber-based parts, such as suspension bushes and brake lines, which can perish or lose elasticity regardless of the distance driven. A prospective buyer should focus their physical inspection on areas prone to age-related decay rather than mechanical wear. Given the low mileage, check for seized brake calipers or corroded discs, which often occur when vehicles are not used frequently. Inspect the structural integrity of the sills and floor pans for hidden rust that accumulates over decades, and verify the age of the tyres to ensure they have not become brittle or cracked despite having ample tread depth.
