2010 Yamaha Nouvo Elegance 0.1L Petrol · CU10 BGK

The Yamaha Nouvo Elegance passed its most recent MOT on 30 July 2024 at 12,858 miles with no defects recorded, indicating a stable maintenance trend across the available history. Three consecutive passes with zero advisories show the machine has presented clean at each examination. The record gives no evidence of worsening faults or recurring mechanical concerns. The mileage pattern reflects exceptionally light use for a 2010 vehicle. Between 6 July 2021 and 19 April 2023 the scooter covered only 40 miles, then added a mere 41 miles to reach the 2024 test at 12,858 miles. That averages roughly 804 miles per year across its life. A notable gap exists between the 2021 and 2023 tests where no MOT appears on file. Such low accumulation with long standing periods suggests gentle commuting or storage-dominated ownership rather than neglected high-mileage abuse. A buyer should still inspect components prone to deterioration through inactivity. Rubber suspension bushes, fork seals, and brake caliper pistons can degrade from moisture and disuse even without recorded faults. The clean MOT history means the tester flagged no corrosion or structural concerns, yet standing vehicles often hide surface rust on the exhaust and frame joints unseen in a pass result. Given the sparse but clean record, a physical check of tyre sidewall cracking, brake disc pitting, and battery condition is warranted before purchase. The absence of advisories does not exempt the scooter from age-related wear on consumables the MOT may not capture at low mileage.
