2013 Ford Transit 2.2L Diesel · CU13 JGX

The 2013 Ford Transit passed its most recent MOT on 29 November 2021 at 185,376 miles with no defects recorded, leaving the maintenance trend neither improving nor worsening but simply static due to a single clean result. That test now stands roughly four and a half years stale against today's date of 8 July 2026, so the vehicle's current roadworthiness cannot be confirmed from the record alone. The odometer read 185,376 miles at the November 2021 test, equating to about 14,260 miles per year across the van's thirteen years. This is high for a light commercial of its age and points to steady, hard use rather than long idle periods. The record shows no earlier entries, so we cannot track accumulation rate or spot gaps; the single clean pass gives no evidence of rapid climbs or sudden stalls in mileage. A buyer must treat the four-year test gap as the primary risk. The lack of advisories in 2021 does not excuse a fresh inspection of structural corrosion, suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs, all of which degrade on a high-mileage Transit left untested for this long. Drivetrain wear from 185,376 miles also warrants a cold-start and road trial. Given the stale MOT and absent history, commission an independent mechanical inspection before purchase. The previous keeper logged one fault-free test then let the certificate lapse; that pattern suggests the van may have been parked or used unlicensed since late 2021.
