2004 Honda CBR600RR 0.6L Petrol · CV04 XKG

The machine presents a current roadworthy status as of the 29 April 2025 test at 30,409 miles, where the tester issued a pass with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend reads as stable across the recent record, though the same date also shows a failed attempt with no defects logged, a pattern repeated on 14 February 2024 at 29,849 miles and first seen as a failure with no defects on 7 June 2023 at 29,822 miles. Such paired fail-pass entries on identical mileages indicate administrative rejections rather than mechanical faults, leaving the underlying condition unblemished by advisories. At roughly 22 years old the odometer shows 30,409 miles, an average of about 1,382 miles per year. The bike covered only 560 miles between the June 2023 test and the February 2024 test, then just 560 miles again to April 2025. This low annual use over two decades suggests extended standing periods, which on a 2004 chassis raises the risk of perished suspension bushes, hardened fork seals, and surface corrosion on structural components rather than drivetrain fatigue. A buyer should still lay eyes on the machine in person. The clean MOT sheet means no tester ever flagged binding calipers, worn brake discs, exhaust emissions, or chassis rust, but long dormancy can hide stale fluid and flat-spotted tyres invisible to the record. Inspect the coil springs and swingarm linkage for creaking or play, and confirm the battery and fuel system survived the idle years without degradation. Given the absence of any recorded advisories across five tests, prior keepers appear to have presented the bike in testable order or simply stored it well. The repeated no-defect failures point to paperwork or venue issues, not deferred upkeep. Verify the V5 and service history to explain the standing time before committing.
