2008 Volkswagen Transporter 2.5L Diesel · CV08 FKO

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status following its most recent test on November 20 2024, which passed with no defects recorded. This follows a period of clean results after a failure noted on September 27, 2022. While the 2022 failure indicates a specific lapse, the subsequent annual passes without advisories suggest that any identified faults were addressed and the vehicle has maintained its status since. At 149,936 miles, the Transporter averages approximately 8,330 miles per year over its eighteen-year lifespan, which aligns with typical usage for a commercial vehicle of this age. The record shows consistent annual testing between 2021 and 2024, though there is a gap in 2022 where two tests were recorded consecutively. The lack of rapid mileage accumulation between intervals suggests no immediate accelerated deterioration of mechanical components often associated with high-intensity use. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the structural integrity of the chassis and mounting points, as older Transporters are prone to corrosion over long periods. Although the recent MOT records show no active advisories, a manual check of the suspension bushes, coil springs, and braking system is necessary to ensure no new wear has developed between the test intervals. The absence of recorded defects in the last three tests indicates the vehicle met the minimum safety standards at the time of each inspection.
