2016 Harley-Davidson 1200 1.2L Petrol · CV66 YUJ

The vehicle maintains a stable roadworthiness status, evidenced by a consistent history of clean MOT passes. The most recent test, conducted on 28 July 2025 at 1,747 miles, recorded no defects or advisories. This trend suggests that the mechanical and structural components have remained within the tolerance of the DVSA safety and emissions standards over the last five inspection cycles. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a ten-year-old motorcycle, averaging approximately 175 miles per year. Between September 2021 and September 2022, the bike covered only 4 miles, indicating long periods of static storage or minimal use during that interval. A more recent increase of 883 miles occurred between August 2024 and July 2025. While the low mileage limits mechanical wear on the drivetrain and suspension, the irregular intervals suggest the vehicle spends significant time stationary, which can lead to specific degradation issues not captured by a standard MOT. Despite the clean digital record, a buyer must physically inspect for issues associated with long-term storage. Priority should be given to checking for flat spots on the tyres, perished rubber components, and fuel system degradation despite the low mileage. The brake system requires a check for seized calipers or surface corrosion on the discs which occurs when a vehicle sits unused. Additionally, inspect the fork seals and gaskets for signs of leaking, ensuring that the low usage has not resulted in the drying out of vital fluid seals.
