2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class 1.8L Diesel · CY12 DXZ

The vehicle presents a high standard of roadworthiness, maintaining a consistently clean record across the last five inspections. The most recent test conducted in December 2025 at 54,964 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This follows a trend of perfect passes back to 2022, indicating that the vehicle has maintained its safety and operational standards without recurring mechanical failures or structural degradation. The mileage profile is notably low for a 14-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,926 miles per year. Between March 2022 and December 2025, the car covered 12,838 miles, suggesting periods of infrequent use or storage. The interval between the September 2024 and December 2025 tests shows a slight increase with over 5,300 miles. This low usage generally implies less wear on the drivetrain and engine components, though it increases the risk of age-related perish in rubber parts and fluids. Despite the clean MOT history, a buyer should focus on components typically affected by low-mileage, older vehicles. Inspect the undercarriage for cracking in suspension bushes and perished brake hoses, as these degrade over time regardless of distance driven. Check the brake discs for surface corrosion or pitting, which often occurs when a car sits for extended periods. Additionally, verify the integrity of the tyres for sidewall dry rot, as the low tread depth does not prevent the natural aging of the rubber compound.
