2006 Suzuki Swift 1.5L Petrol · CY56 AVX

The 2006 Suzuki Swift presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 14 October 2025 at 101,290 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken five-year sequence of clean MOT results from 2021 through 2025. The recorded mileage shows light use for a twenty-year-old vehicle. The odometer read 88,248 miles at the 2 October 2021 test and climbed to 101,290 miles by October 2025, a total of 13,042 miles over four years or roughly 3,260 miles per year. The gap between the 2024 test at 95,865 miles and the 2025 test at 101,290 miles shows only 5,425 miles added in that twelve-month period. No rapid accumulation or missing-year gaps appear in the DVSA data, and the clean record gives no cause to suspect deferred consumable replacement was flagged by testers. A buyer should still arrange a physical inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and subframe corrosion given the vehicle's age and likely periods of standing idle. Low annual mileage often masks perished rubber components and surface rust that a pass result does not capture. The brake discs and calipers warrant a hands-on check for binding or uneven wear despite no advisories being raised. The absence of any recorded advisories across all five tests suggests the previous keeper maintained basic statutory standards, though it does not confirm proactive mechanical care. Given the Swift's low yearly use, a pre-purchase check of exhaust emissions and structural integrity underneath remains sensible before completion.
