2010 Vauxhall Astra 1.7L Petrol · CY60 ACX

The most recent MOT, on 21 December 2024 at 96,316 miles, resulted in a clean pass with no defects recorded. This follows a pattern of consistent, fault-free tests stretching back to December 2022. The maintenance trend is stable and appears well-managed, as the vehicle has not accumulated any advisories or failures related to mechanical or structural components over this three-year period. The recorded mileage of 96,316 miles on a 2010 vehicle equates to roughly 6,020 miles per year, which is typical for a car of this age and class. The annual mileage increments are consistent: roughly 3,500 miles between 2022 and 2023, and then about 7,300 miles in the following year. This steady pattern suggests regular use rather than prolonged periods of standing or sporadic high-mileage trips, which is a positive indicator for overall mechanical health. Given the absence of any recorded defects or advisories in the MOT history, a buyer should focus their in-person inspection on age-related wear that a static test may not fully capture. Check for corrosion on suspension components, brake lines, and the subframe, as these are common on a 16-year-old Astra. Listen for suspension knocks from worn bushes or drop links, and inspect the condition of tyres and brake discs for uneven wear. The clean record is reassuring, but a thorough physical check remains essential for a vehicle of this age.
