2011 Volkswagen Jetta 1.6L Diesel · CY60 HWP

The Volkswagen Jetta presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 2 December 2025 at 101,638 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the prior clean pass dated 27 November 2024 at 87,817 miles confirms the vehicle has cleared consecutive annual examinations without advisories or faults. The single failure logged on 27 November 2024 at 87,816 miles shows no defects recorded, indicating a clerical or procedural rejection rather than a mechanical fault, immediately rectified by the passing retest the same day. Annual mileage averages around 6,776 across the car's fifteen-year life, a typical figure for the age. The records show steady accumulation: 68,326 miles in November 2022, 76,418 in November 2023, 87,817 in November 2024, and 101,638 by December 2025. The roughly 11,000 to 14,000 miles added each year between tests reflects consistent private use rather than long standing periods. No sparse gaps or abrupt jumps appear in the sequence. The absence of any recorded advisories across five years suggests previous owners kept basic consumables and structural items within tolerance, though MOT cleanliness does not confirm component condition beneath test thresholds. A buyer should still inspect brake discs, suspension bushes, and coil springs for wear invisible at pass level, and check underneath for corrosion on sills and subframes given the car's 2011 build date. Given the same-day fail and pass in November 2024 carried zero defects, the episode implies administrative oversight at the testing station rather than neglected upkeep. The clean sheet from 2022 through 2025 points to a maintained example, but a pre-purchase inspection remains sensible on a 101,638-mile Jetta to verify exhaust emissions and tyre sidewall condition not captured by the record.
