2011 BMW 3 Series 3.0L Diesel · D16 DGF

The 2011 BMW 3 Series presents a currently roadworthy status with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 15 January 2026 at 278,740 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the prior annual tests show the same clean outcome. The vehicle has cleared every successful examination without advisories, indicating no worsening mechanical condition across the observed period. Mileage stands at 278,740 against a 15-year lifespan, equating to roughly 18,583 miles per year and placing this car well above typical use for its class. The records show steady annual accumulation: 218,519 miles on 16 January 2023, 238,397 on 15 January 2024, 259,279 on 21 January 2025, and 278,740 on 15 January 2026. A failed test on 21 January 2025 at 259,277 miles was logged with no defects cited, then immediately passed at 259,279 the same day, suggesting an administrative or measurement anomaly rather than a genuine fault. The history is sparse but clean, with no flagged corrosion, suspension bushes, brake discs, or exhaust issues. Given the high mileage and absent advisories, a buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of structural integrity and subframe corrosion, as BMWs of this era commonly suffer hidden rust despite passing emissions and lighting checks. The drivetrain and suspension components have absorbed near-commercial mileage; expect worn coil springs, tired dampers, and fatigued bushings not captured by a fault-free MOT. Verify service records beyond DVSA data to confirm consumables such as tyres and brake calipers were replaced at appropriate intervals.
