1987 Honda Civic CRX 1.6L Petrol · D332 EAV

The 1987 Honda Civic CRX presents a clean roadworthiness status. The most recent test on 7 February 2026 at 138,953 miles passed with no defects recorded, and the maintenance trend is stable across the available history with no advisories or failures at any stage. The recorded mileage shows exceptionally low use for a 39-year-old vehicle. The test on 8 February 2025 logged 138,721 miles and the 5 January 2024 test showed 138,397 miles, giving an annual accumulation of roughly 300 to 350 miles in those years. A gap exists between the 8 March 2022 test at 138,388 miles and the 2024 entry, but the 11-mile rise from 2022 to 2024 confirms the car stood largely idle. Such low throughput suggests light running but also raises the risk of perished rubber components and stagnant fluids from prolonged storage. No tester flagged suspension bushes, brake discs, corrosion, or exhaust emissions faults across the four records, so the history gives no evidence of recurring mechanical defects. A buyer should still inspect structural integrity in person given the age, paying close attention to chassis rails and sills for hidden rust that a pass with no defects may not disclose on a 1987 shell. Check the condition of consumable items the MOT did not flag, including tyre sidewall cracking, wiper blades, and brake caliper seizure from disuse. The clean record implies previous owners kept basic statutory testing current, but the near-static mileage means a physical appraisal of aged components remains essential before purchase.
