2018 Mercedes-Benz C 1.5L Petrol · D7 NCE

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz C presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 14 July 2025 at 26,061 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken sequence of clean MOT outcomes across every examination in the available history. Annual mileage sits well below typical expectations for an eight-year-old vehicle. The record shows 12,625 miles at the October 2021 test, rising to 17,080 by July 2022, 20,246 in July 2023, 23,302 in July 2024, and 26,061 by July 2025. That equates to roughly 3,200 miles per year. The only timing irregularity is the 2021 test falling in October rather than midsummer, suggesting the first owner delayed the initial post-pandemic examination. Otherwise the progression is linear with no abrupt accumulation or dormant gaps. No advisories or defects appear in any entry, so the history gives no direct signal of worn suspension bushes, corroded structural members, or failing brake components. A clean sheet across five years implies the previous keeper addressed consumables before each test. Low standing mileage, however, can conceal perished rubber seals, flat-spotted tyres, and seized calipers that a static record will not reveal. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of the underbody for corrosion, verify brake disc condition after prolonged light use, and confirm the age of tyres and flexible hoses. The MOT data supports a favourable view, but the low annual cover means in-person checks on dormant-wear items carry more weight than the test certificate alone suggests.
