The 2017 BMW 530D xDrive SE Auto presents a stable and clean roadworthiness profile. The most recent test on 11 February 2026 at 77,475 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the preceding three annual tests also passed with no advisories. The maintenance trend shows no worsening faults, recurring defects, or unresolved mechanical risks across the available history. Mileage accumulation sits at a typical level for a nine-year-old vehicle. The record shows 41,048 miles at the 24 February 2022 test, rising to 50,048 by 5 February 2023, 61,638 by 16 February 2024, and 77,475 by February 2026. That equates to roughly 8,600 to 9,000 miles per year with no abrupt jumps or standing gaps. The DVSA data is sparse in detail but consistently clean, with no flagged consumable wear or structural corrosion at any stage. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection despite the unbroken pass record. The MOT history raises no specific concerns with suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, or exhaust emissions, yet annual tests only sample condition on the day. Given the xDrive system and diesel drivetrain, verify transfer case and prop shaft wear, inspect underbody for early corrosion, and confirm service history covers transmission and differential fluids. The absence of advisories across four tests implies the previous keeper kept basic upkeep current. No failed tests or skipped years suggest the car was not run on deferred maintenance. Treat the clean record as a positive indicator, but validate mechanical health through a physical examination before purchase.
