2012 KIA Sorento 2.2L Diesel · DC11 FMV

The Kia Sorento presents as roadworthy at its most recent examination. The August 2025 test at 176,933 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the maintenance trend across the supplied history reads as stable. The vehicle carries a clean advisories sheet on its latest test, which suggests the current condition met DVSA standards without flagged wear items at that point. Mileage sits high for a 2012 registered vehicle. The record shows 169,952 miles at the August 2024 test and 176,933 miles by August 2025, giving roughly 6,981 miles covered in that twelve month span and an overall average near 12,600 miles per year. The supplied history is sparse, with only the 2024 and 2025 entries present, so no long-term wear pattern or gap can be judged beyond this recent pair of tests. The August 2024 record shows a failed test and a pass on the same date at 169,952 miles, both with no defects recorded. A fail with no listed defect typically points to an administrative or documentation issue rather than a mechanical fault, and the immediate pass confirms the car was legally cleared that day. No recurring suspension, brake, exhaust, or corrosion problems appear in the data to indicate ongoing mechanical decline. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection given the 176,933 mile distance travelled. Prior owners clearly kept the MOT cycle current, but high mileage on a Sorento of this age warrants checking suspension bushes, coil springs, brake disc thickness, and underbody structural integrity for corrosion. Verify the August 2024 fail reason through the full DVSA certificate, as the blank defect field gives no technical explanation for that rejection.
