2015 Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0L Diesel · DC65 YZZ

The Volkswagen Tiguan presents as roadworthy following its most recent MOT pass on 20 February 2026 at 81,392 miles, with the maintenance trend appearing stable across the available record. The test on 17 February 2026 at the same mileage produced a fail with no defects recorded, a contradiction that points to an administrative or process anomaly at the testing station rather than a mechanical fault, and the vehicle cleared two days later with a clean sheet. Mileage progression sits close to typical use for an 11 year old vehicle, rising from 64,967 miles at the December 2023 test to 73,507 miles in January 2025 and 81,152 miles by January 2026, equating to under 8,000 miles per year. The gap between the December 2023 and January 2025 entries leaves a 13 month window undocumented, but the subsequent annual tests show consistent, moderate accumulation with no sudden spikes that would imply heavy drivetrain or suspension loading. The DVSA history carries no advisories or recorded defects across any test, so the record gives no direct signal of worn suspension bushes, corroded structure, or failing brake components. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of coil springs, brake discs, and underbody corrosion given the vehicle's age, as MOT passes with no defects do not certify component life remaining beyond the test day. Given the clean trajectory and ordinary mileage, previous ownership appears to have kept basic statutory testing current without neglected failures. The February 2026 fail-with-no-defects entry warrants a query to the selling garage to confirm the vehicle was not withdrawn for an unrecorded rectification before its pass.
