2007 Volkswagen Jetta SE TDI 105 1.9L Heavy oil · DL07 GOX

The roadworthiness of this vehicle is currently uncertain due to the lack of a valid MOT for over three years. While the most recent recorded test in January 2023 at 206,523 miles resulted in a failure with no recorded defects, the vehicle has now lapsed beyond its testing date. The maintenance trend between 2018 and 2021 appeared stable, with the car passing consecutive inspections without advisories, but the significant gap in testing means the current mechanical state and structural integrity of the chassis cannot be verified. The mileage profile is consistent with a typical high-use vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 10,870 miles per annum. Between September 2018 and October 2021, the car covered 32,698 miles, showing a steady usage pattern. The jump of 5,032 miles between October 2021 and January 2023 suggests a period of lower use before the final recorded test. However, the total distance exceeding 200,000 miles places significant strain on the drivetrain, turbocharger, and suspension components, regardless of previous clean history. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection focusing on structural corrosion around the sills, wheel arches, and subframe. Given the age and high mileage, the rubber bushings in the suspension and shock absorbers likely show signs of perished or tearing. The braking system should be checked for binding calipers and thin discs, and the exhaust system for perforating rust. Because the vehicle has not been tested since 2023, a fresh inspection is mandatory to identify if fluid leaks or safety-related failures developed during the extended period of inactivity or continued use.
