2013 Vauxhall Astra SE 1.6L Petrol · DL13 DSZ

The most recent MOT in July 2025 was a clean pass with no defects recorded at 84,804 miles. This follows a consistent pattern of successful tests dating back to 2019, where every inspection resulted in a pass without any advisories or failures noted. There is no evidence of a worsening mechanical trend in the supplied history. The vehicle appears to have maintained a stable condition over the last seven years of testing, as no recurring issues or escalating repair needs are documented in the official records. The mileage of roughly 6,523 miles per year is typical for a car of this age, suggesting average usage rather than extreme hard work or long periods of neglect. While this steady accumulation implies standard wear on consumables like brakes and suspension, the lack of recorded faults suggests these components have been adequately maintained or replaced as needed between tests. Because the paper history is exceptionally clean, you must verify that the physical condition matches the documentation. Start your inspection by checking the service book for oil change stamps to confirm maintenance occurred between MOTs. Examine the underbody closely for corrosion, which can develop even on cars with low annual mileage if stored poorly. Test the clutch engagement and listen for unusual noises from the engine and suspension during a cold start and test drive, as these dynamic issues may not always trigger an MOT failure immediately.
