2006 Ford Fiesta 1.2L Petrol · DS06 VZM

The most recent MOT on 18 October 2022 recorded a pass at 104,916 miles, indicating the vehicle met the statutory safety and emissions standards at that time. The preceding year’s test on 19 October 2021 also passed, showing a consistent maintenance record with no recorded deterioration; the duplicate fail entries on the same dates contain no defects and appear to be clerical rather than mechanical. Across a twenty‑year lifespan the car has accumulated 104,916 miles, averaging roughly 5,200 miles per annum – well below the typical usage for a vehicle of this age. The mileage progression from 97,978 miles in October 2021 to 104,916 miles in October 2022 reflects a modest increase of about 7,000 miles in twelve months, suggesting steady, moderate use rather than periods of neglect or sudden high‑kilometre runs. No gaps or abrupt spikes are evident in the record. Given the absence of recorded faults, a prospective buyer should still examine wear items that the MOT does not flag. Inspect the tyre tread depth and sidewall condition for uneven wear, verify that the suspension bushes and coil springs are free of corrosion or excessive play, and check the brake discs and pads for thickness and any signs of binding calipers. A visual survey of the chassis for rust, particularly around wheel arches and under‑body panels, will confirm the structural integrity suggested by the clean MOT history. A hands‑on assessment of these consumables and structural points will corroborate the documented stability and ensure that the low‑mileage advantage translates into a reliable purchase.
