2011 Land Rover Freelander 2.2L Diesel · DS11 VSD

This Freelander presents an exceptionally clean roadworthiness record, characterized by a total absence of defects or advisories across its last four annual inspections. This stability is confirmed by the most recent pass on 15 July 2025, suggesting a vehicle that has been maintained to a standard where no wear-and-tear items have reached the threshold of a DVSA advisory. With a recorded mileage of 84,865 miles, the vehicle has averaged approximately 5,658 miles per year over its fifteen-year lifespan. This low annual accumulation indicates significantly less mechanical stress on the drivetrain, transmission, and engine internals compared to a typical high-mileage example. Such a usage profile suggests the vehicle has avoided the heavy wear associated with long-distance commuting or frequent towing. Because the MOT history is devoid of advisories, there are no specific recurring failures in the suspension or braking systems to target. Nevertheless, a physical inspection should still verify the condition of the suspension bushes and the absence of corrosion on the chassis and subframe, ensuring that the clean test record aligns with the actual physical state of the underbody. On the test drive, the focus should be on the operational smoothness of the drivetrain and the absence of any clunks or knocks when navigating uneven surfaces. Listen for any unusual noise during low-speed maneuvers and ensure the steering is precise and free from play, confirming that the vehicle's mechanical condition matches its exemplary DVSA history.
