2011 Vauxhall Astra 1.7L Diesel · DS60 HSJ

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by a consistent history of clean MOT passes. The most recent test, conducted on 26 July 2024 at 152,549 miles, returned no defects or advisories. This streak of perfect results suggests that the previous owners have maintained the vehicle to a standard that meets basic safety requirements without recurring mechanical or structural failures surfacing over the last five years. The mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent for a 15-year-old Astra, averaging approximately 10,000 miles per annum. Between January 2019 and July 2024, the car covered 23,801 miles, indicating a steady usage pattern rather than periods of neglect or heavy commercial strain. The gap between the June 2022 test at 146,905 miles and the July 2024 test shows a slight deceleration in interval mileage mileage, which aligns with typical annual use and helps prevent age-related degradation of rubber components and fluid systems. While the digital record is clean, the high-mile physical inspection must focus on common wear points for this model and age. A buyer should specifically inspect the underside for structural corrosion on the subframe and sills, as MOT tests only surface these once they become significant. Given the 152,000-mile mark, the suspension bushes, coil springs, and shock absorbers should be checked for play or perished perished, as these components do not trigger an MOT failure until they are significantly worn or leaking.
