2022 Nissan Leaf Electricity · DS71 PRZ

The most recent MOT test for this 2022 NISSAN LEAF was completed on 2026-01-13 and resulted in a PASS, indicating that the vehicle met all regulatory standards at that time. However, the historical record shows two clean passes in 2024 and 2026, suggesting a consistent maintenance approach over the years. This stability points to a generally reliable vehicle, though the accumulated mileage over its lifespan warrants careful scrutiny. The recorded mileage of 17,751 miles translates to approximately 4,438 miles per year, which is relatively low for a vehicle of its age, especially considering the 4-year age. This suggests the car may have experienced fewer wear cycles compared to newer models, but it also means components such as the suspension, brakes, and drivetrain could show signs of increased stress if usage patterns have shifted. The mileage context is important when evaluating mechanical health. At 17,751 miles, the vehicle has likely undergone several cycles of acceleration, braking, and idling, which can affect the integrity of key systems. Inspectors should pay particular attention to the condition of the suspension bushes and shock absorbers for any signs of wear or binding, as these are critical for handling and ride comfort. Brake performance should be tested closely, especially for any unusual shuddering or reduced stopping power. Additionally, the tyre sidewalls should be examined for cracking or perishing, as this could indicate uneven wear or premature degradation. The presence of any fluid leaks, particularly from the brake system or underbody, should be verified during the inspection. For buyers who have not had the vehicle serviced regularly, it is essential to focus on age-related wear indicators such as the condition of the 12V battery, which may show signs of corrosion or reduced capacity. The cooling system should be checked for proper function, as overheating can accelerate component failure. Given the low mileage relative to age, the buyer should be advised to verify service book stamps and ensure all recommended maintenance intervals have been followed. If the MOT history remains clean and the mileage is well-managed, the LEAF remains a solid choice, but proactive checks are crucial to prevent unexpected breakdowns. Regular inspections of the structural integrity, especially after prolonged periods of standing or low usage, will help maintain long-term reliability.
