2012 Hyundai Veloster 1.6L Petrol · DV12 PTX

The Hyundai Veloster presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 15 August 2025 at 60,637 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, following a failed attempt on the same date showing no listed defects, an administrative anomaly rather than a mechanical fault. Prior tests in 2024 and 2023 also passed cleanly, indicating no recurring advisories or escalating wear across the five-year record. Recorded mileage sits at 60,637 against a 2012 build, averaging roughly 4,331 miles per year. The car covered 52,099 miles by 7 July 2023, 55,174 by 9 July 2024, and 55,749 by 23 August 2024, then jumped to 60,637 by August 2025. Low annual use suggests prolonged standing periods, which can age tyres, flat-spot suspension bushes, and promote corrosion despite the clean sheet. With no advisories on brakes, suspension, exhaust emissions, or structural integrity across the history, the MOT data alone reveals no active mechanical risks. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of coil springs, brake discs, and underbody corrosion given the vehicle's age and low-use profile. Verify the twin 15 August 2025 entries with DVSA to confirm the failure was clerical, not a suppressed defect.
