2003 Porsche 911 3.6L Petrol · E11 YAD

The car holds a valid roadworthiness position on paper. It passed its September 2024 MOT at 62,013 miles with no defects recorded, and the previous test in September 2023 also passed clean. The maintenance trend is therefore stable, with no advisory history to suggest pending mechanical decline. Bear in mind that the most recent certificate is now nearly two years old. Because today is August 2026, the MOT expired in September 2025, so the car will require a fresh test before it can be lawfully driven away. The mileage pattern fits a lightly used example. The car covered only 1,773 miles between the September 2023 and September 2024 tests, rising from 60,240 to 62,013. Averaging roughly 2,700 miles per year across its 23-year life, this is consistent with occasional weekend use or short seasonal drives rather than daily commuting. There is no sudden spike in accumulation and no large gap in the recorded history, but the data set is thin. Two clean tests do not confirm the overall mechanical story, especially for a car of this age. With no faults or advisories on record, the absence of flagged problems means you must focus on the items that simply wear out over time or through light use. Inspect the suspension bushes, coil springs, and anti-roll bar links for cracking or perished rubber, and check the brake discs and pads for lipping, scoring, and surface corrosion from possible standing periods. Look underneath for structural corrosion, particularly at the sills, jacking points, and subframe mounting areas. Tyres deserve close attention even if they passed the last test, as the rubber may now be aged or flat-spotted. A pre-purchase inspection from an independent specialist is justified here, and you should also request service records to confirm oil and coolant changes that an MOT certificate cannot reveal.
