2007 Ford Focus 1.6L Petrol · EA07 ABN

The Ford Focus passed its most recent MOT on 25 November 2022 at 234,488 miles with no defects recorded, leaving it roadworthy at that point. The maintenance trend appears stable on paper, though the record shows two earlier failures on 20 October 2022 and 5 October 2021 where the tester logged no defects, suggesting administrative or presentation issues rather than mechanical faults. No worsening pattern of advisories or corrosion is visible across the five-year span. At 234,488 miles on a 2007 vehicle, the Focus has covered roughly 12,300 miles per year, a high but not abnormal load for its class. The odometer moved only ten miles between the October 2022 failure and the November 2022 pass, and showed no movement from the 2021 to 2022 tests, indicating the car saw little use in its final recorded years. The sparse history with clean passes from 2020 through 2021 and a fault-free 2022 pass gives no evidence of neglected consumables or skipped servicing in the official data. A buyer should still inspect the suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs in person given the age and 234k mileage, as these wear silently without triggering MOT advisories in this record. Structural integrity around sills and subframes warrants a close check for corrosion, since the tests recorded no rust findings but DVSA inspections vary in depth. The twin failure entries with zero defects mean the seller or previous owner likely mishandled test bookings rather than ignored repairs. Verify the V5C and ask for service invoices; the MOT alone proves the car was compliant in late 2022 but says nothing about current condition in 2026.
