2010 Nissan 370 Z 3.7L Petrol · EA10 LPV

The 2010 Nissan 370Z presents a stable and improving maintenance trend, culminating in a completely clean pass on 23 October 2024 at 38,211 miles. The tester recorded zero defects, indicating the vehicle currently meets all required safety and emissions standards. A prior test on 29 July 2021 at 31,727 miles resulted in a failure, though the record curiously lists no specific defects for that event. Since that date, the car has passed three consecutive MOTs without a single advisory, demonstrating a clear resolution of whatever caused the earlier failure and consistent upkeep in recent years. The mileage accumulation is exceptionally low for a vehicle of this age, averaging roughly 2,388 miles annually. Between the August 2022 test at 33,796 miles and the August 2023 test at 38,135 miles, the car covered 4,339 miles, suggesting a period of slightly more regular use. However, the subsequent twelve months saw a mere 76 miles added, reaching 38,211 miles by October 2024. This drastic drop in usage indicates the vehicle has spent prolonged periods stationary, a common scenario for low-mileage sports cars that requires careful inspection of perishable components and seised mechanisms. Despite the clean MOT record, the extended periods of inactivity demand a thorough physical inspection. Buyers should closely examine the condition of the tyres for flat-spotting and sidewall cracking, as well as checking the brake discs for surface corrosion and the calipers for binding, which are common issues when a vehicle stands idle. Suspension bushes and coil springs must be inspected for deterioration, while the underbody and sills require careful scrutiny for structural corrosion. The drivetrain and exhaust system should also be checked for any signs of moisture-related degradation resulting from short, infrequent journeys.
