2010 Ford Fiesta 1.2L Petrol · EF60 ABU

The vehicle demonstrates a stable roadworthiness trend, with the most recent 2026-02-16 MOT at 72,752 miles confirming no defects. All prior annual tests from 2022 to 2025 also passed without issues, indicating consistent maintenance. No recurring mechanical or structural concerns were flagged across the six-year history, suggesting the car has been well cared for. The absence of advisories or failures implies the owner prioritized regular servicing, though the low mileage relative to age warrants scrutiny for potential storage-related wear. The mileage progression shows a steady annual increase, from 42,732 miles in 2022 to 72,752 in 2026, averaging 4,547 miles per year. This is below the typical usage for a 16-year-old vehicle, which might indicate infrequent use or prolonged periods of inactivity. While the MOT records lack gaps, the low mileage could mask wear on components like suspension bushes or coil springs, which degrade over time regardless of distance. The consistent test intervals and clean history suggest the vehicle was not subjected to heavy-duty use, but the buyer should verify if the low mileage aligns with the car’s actual operating conditions. A physical inspection should focus on potential storage-related issues, such as corrosion in the exhaust system or brake caliper binding, which may not appear in MOT tests. The suspension components, including shock absorbers and track rods, should be checked for stiffness or wear, as low-mileage vehicles can develop stiffness from inactivity. Additionally, the tyres and steering system require close examination for uneven wear or play, which might indicate neglected maintenance. Despite the clean MOT record, these areas warrant attention to confirm the car’s mechanical integrity beyond documented tests.
