2015 Skoda Octavia 1.6L Diesel · EF65 ACZ

The vehicle presents a stable level of roadworthiness with a clean record in its most recent inspections. The latest MOT conducted on 12 November 2025 at 117,096 miles resulted in no defects, indicating that the car currently meets the minimum legal safety standards. This follows a period of clean passes in 2024 and 2022, suggesting that the mechanical and structural components have been maintained well enough to avoid recurring failures over the last three years. The mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent for an eleven-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 10,600 miles per year. The data shows a steady progression from 89,017 miles in November 2022 to 117,096 miles in late 2025. This regular usage suggests typical driving patterns rather than long periods of stagnation, which is often beneficial for maintaining engine seals and braking components. The interval between the November 2024 and November 2025 tests shows a jump of roughly 12,000 miles, aligning perfectly with the annual average observed across the entire history. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components subject to wear at this mileage threshold. While the MOT record shows no recent failures, the failure on 16 November 2023 at 97,018 miles indicates a specific issue was present then that required rectification. Since the car has now surpassed 117,000 miles, it is vital to inspect the suspension control arm bushes, coil springs, and shocks, as these often degrade on Octavias at this age. Checking the brake discs for thinning and the calipers for binding is also prudent, alongside the underbody which should be checked for any signs of structural corrosion in common rust-prone areas like the rear arches and sills.
