2003 BMW 325 CI Sport 2.5L Petrol · EG03 WPX

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by a clean pass in the February 2026 test at 95,623 miles. This follows three consecutive years of successful inspections without recorded defects, suggesting that the current owner maintains a consistent standard of upkeep. While a failure occurred in May 2022 at 72,425 miles, the immediate rectification indicates the issue was addressed promptly and has not become a recurring mechanical concern. The mileage pattern is notably low for a vehicle from 2003, averaging approximately 4,158 miles per year. There is a significant period of low use between May 2022 and May 2023, where the car covered only 1,161 miles in a full year. Conversely, the vehicle saw 21,997 miles between May 2023 and February 2026, indicating a recent increase in usage. Such low mileage often leads to age-related degradation, such as rubber seals drying out or perished bushings, rather than mechanical wear on the drivetrain. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the structural integrity of the chassis and subframes, as older E46 models are prone to corrosion in hidden mounting points. Given the periods of low usage, check the brake system for seized calipers or pitted discs which occur when vehicles sit for extended durations. Carefully examine the suspension rubber components and control arms for cracking or tearing, as the age of the material often necessitates failure regardless of the low recorded mileage.
