2022 Toyota C-HR 1.8L Hybrid electric (clean) · EO72 LLK

The vehicle most recently passed its MOT on 14 November 2025 with no defects recorded. Reviewing the history, the maintenance trend appears stable and positive. While there was a noted advisory in November 2023 regarding rear service brake efficiency only just meeting the minimum requirement, this issue was not present in the subsequent two tests, suggesting that the braking system was either adjusted or relevant components were replaced. With a recorded mileage of 26,402 miles over approximately four years, the vehicle has averaged roughly 6,600 miles per year. This represents a light to moderate usage profile, which generally implies lower mechanical wear on the engine, transmission, and suspension components compared to high-mileage examples. However, such usage patterns can sometimes indicate shorter urban trips or periods of inactivity, which may impact the long-term health of the battery and fluid integrity. Regarding the previous brake efficiency advisory, a prospective buyer should ensure the braking system feels firm and responsive during a test drive. Listen for any grinding or shuddering under deceleration, which could indicate uneven disc wear or binding calipers. Given the age of the vehicle, it is essential to inspect the tyre sidewalls for signs of perishing or ozone cracking, as tyres can degrade due to age even if the tread depth remains legally compliant. Finally, verify that the service history is complete and aligns with the manufacturer's calendar-based intervals rather than just mileage. Brake fluid is hygroscopic and should typically be replaced every two years regardless of distance travelled. Check the 12V auxiliary battery for signs of age-related failure and inspect the brake discs for surface corrosion, which is common in vehicles with lower annual mileage. A thorough check of the suspension bushes and coil springs for any signs of splitting or corrosion will complete a comprehensive roadworthiness evaluation.
