2002 Audi A4 3.0L Petrol · EX52 FGC

This Audi A4 demonstrates a consistent record of roadworthiness, characterized by a lack of major mechanical failures or structural defects. The stability of its condition is evidenced by consecutive passes, including the test on 20 March 2023, which flagged only minor consumable wear. With a recorded mileage of 87,193 miles over a twenty-four year period, the vehicle has averaged approximately 3,633 miles per year. Such low annual usage suggests the car has not been subject to the typical wear and tear associated with high-mileage commuters, though it increases the likelihood of age-related degradation of rubber seals and gaskets. Attention must be paid to the front axle, as the March 2023 test recorded both the nearside and offside front tyres as worn close to the legal limit and specifically worn on the edges. This uneven wear pattern is a strong indicator of wheel misalignment or worn suspension bushes. A prospective buyer should verify if these tyres were replaced and whether a four-wheel alignment was performed following the test. During the test drive, the driver should feel for any steering pull or a lack of centering when releasing the wheel on a straight road. Any knocking sounds when traversing speed bumps or vibrations through the steering wheel would further suggest that the suspension components contributing to the previous tyre wear require replacement.
