2007 Vauxhall Astra 1.8L Petrol · EX57 NRV

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile following its most recent pass on 17 October 2025 at 138,717 miles. While the overall history appears clean, the recorded failure just two days prior to that successful test at 138,715 miles suggests a potential minor administrative or superficial presentation issue that was rectified immediately. Since 2022, the Astra has consistently passed without any recorded defects, indicating that the mechanical and structural integrity has held over the last three years. The mileage pattern is consistent with a 19-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 7,300 miles per annum. There is a notable gap of 16,126 miles between the March 2022 and May 2023 tests, which represents a period of higher usage compared to the subsequent 3,084 miles covered between 2023 and 2024. The 9,087 miles covered between April 2024 and October 2025 shows a more recent acceleration in use, though the total annual figure remains within expected parameters for a car of this age. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components most prone to age-related degradation which do not always trigger MOT failures until critical. Given the vehicle's age, structural corrosion on the sills, rear subframe, and mounting points is common for this model. Inspect the suspension bushes and coil springs for signs of wear, and check the brake calipers for binding despite the clean history. Because the mileage is relatively low, the age of the rubber components and coolant lines warrants close scrutiny to ensure they have not become brittle over time.
