The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 2026-02-20 at 35,671 miles recorded a pass with no defects, indicating a stable maintenance trend. Previous tests from 2022, 2020, and 2017 also showed passes, though a 2020 entry mistakenly lists a failure with no defects recorded, which may reflect a data inconsistency. No recurring mechanical issues are evident from the record, and the absence of advisories or critical failures suggests the bike has been maintained to basic roadworthiness standards. The mileage progression reveals a slow accumulation of 964 miles annually, far below typical usage for a 37-year-old vehicle. From 34,537 miles in 2017 to 35,671 in 2026, the total increase of 1,134 miles over nine years implies minimal active use, likely due to long periods of inactivity. This pattern raises concerns about potential deterioration of perishable components such as rubber seals, battery health, and fluid integrity, which may not be flagged in MOT tests. Gaps between tests exceed the recommended annual interval, further complicating assessment of consistent upkeep. A buyer should prioritize inspecting for signs of prolonged storage, including corrosion on suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake calipers, as well as exhaust system integrity. The absence of recorded defects does not preclude hidden issues from inactivity, such as binding rear brakes or degraded tyres. Structural rust and drivetrain wear, though not flagged in tests, warrant scrutiny given the low mileage and age. The 2020 failure entry, despite no defects noted, should be cross-referenced with service history to confirm accuracy.
