2004 Honda CBR600RR 0.6L Petrol · FE04 WKJ

The vehicle presents a stable maintenance profile with a recent history of clean passes. The most recent test on 20 December 2025 at 22,254 miles recorded no defects, following a clean pass in September 2024 at 20,726 miles. While the record shows intermittent mechanical failures in earlier years, the trend has moved toward consistent compliance without advisories over the last two years. The mileage pattern indicates very light usage for a 2004 model, averaging approximately 1,000 miles per year. A significant data gap exists between the 2015 test at 14,905 miles and the 2020 test at 14,908 miles, suggesting the motorcycle may have been stored or used minimally during this five-year period. The current mileage of 22,254 remains low, which reduces general wear on the drivetrain but necessitates careful inspection of components that degrade through lack of use. A buyer should focus on the rear braking system and suspension components. The record shows a history of brake-related issues, including pitted discs in 2015, a fractured rear disc in 2021, and worn pads in 2009 and 2008. Although these issues appear resolved, the 2023 advisory regarding a worn rear lower suspension pin or bush indicates that rubber and metal joints are beginning to age. Physical inspection of the rear suspension linkage and the condition of the rear brake disc and caliper is essential. The drivetrain also requires scrutiny. The 2021 failure noted a slightly loose rear drive chain, and the 2020 test flagged a noisy exhaust. Given the low annual mileage, the buyer must check for signs of fuel degradation, seized components, or perished seals that often accompany long periods of inactivity. Checking the tension and wear of the chain and sprocket assembly is a necessary step to ensure the low mileage has not resulted in neglected maintenance.
