2018 Aston Martin Vantage 4.0L Petrol · FE68 KVB

A consistent track record of clean roadworthiness defines this vehicle, with no recorded defects or advisories appearing throughout its recent inspection history, including the most recent pass on 19 September 2023. This lack of flagged issues suggests that the essential safety components, including the braking systems, lighting, and structural integrity, have remained within acceptable tolerances. The overall trend is one of mechanical stability, showing no signs of escalating wear or recurring failures in the recorded testing cycles. The vehicle's usage profile is notably low, having accumulated only 12,311 miles over its eight-year lifespan. This averages to approximately 1,539 miles per year, which is significantly lower than typical driving patterns. Mechanically, this suggests minimal wear on the engine, gearbox, and drivetrain components; however, such infrequent usage can occasionally result in the hardening of rubber suspension bushes or the degradation of various seals due to the vehicle's low annual accumulation. During a physical inspection and test drive, focus on identifying any symptoms of long-term stationary use. Listen for any irregular knocks or creaks from the suspension linkages or dampers when navigating uneven road surfaces, which may indicate that rubber components have lost their elasticity. Check the steering for any pulling or vibrations that might suggest tyre flat-spotting or uneven wear patterns resulting from the low annual mileage. Furthermore, evaluate the brake pedal response for any sponginess or lack of consistent pressure, and monitor the engine bay for any evidence of oil misting or weeping from gaskets. Given the lack of recorded defects, the primary objective is to ensure that the components have not been adversely affected by the vehicle's infrequent operation. Confirm that the vehicle reaches its normal operating temperature smoothly and that there are no irregular exhaust emissions or engine hesitations during acceleration.
