2005 BMW 3 Series 2.0L Diesel · FH55 AJY

The most recent MOT (21 Dec 2022 at 157 833 miles) passed with no defects, indicating the vehicle was roadworthy at that time. The maintenance trend appears stable; no defects were recorded across the three tests, suggesting consistent basic upkeep. Over the three‑year span from 25 Sep 2021 to 21 Dec 2022 mileage rose from 146 107 miles to 157 833 miles, averaging roughly 7 500 miles per year, which is typical for a 21‑year‑old BMW. The gap between the last MOT (Dec 2022) and today (Aug 2026) exceeds three and a half years, leaving a notable interval without official inspection. The data is sparse after Dec 2022, so the current mechanical condition is uncertain. With no recorded faults, attention should focus on high‑wear items such as suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs and calipers for binding, and exhaust mounts for corrosion. The vehicle’s underbody and wheel arches should be examined for rust, especially given its age and mileage. A thorough check of the drivetrain for oil leaks and wear, plus a test drive for abnormal noises or vibrations, is advisable before purchase.
