2006 Honda CBR1000RR 1.0L Petrol · FL06 ODW

The 2006 Honda CBR1000RR presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 9 April 2026 at 56,063 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken sequence of clean results across the available history. The mileage pattern reflects exceptionally light use for a twenty-year-old machine. From the 21 February 2022 test at 53,224 miles to the 9 April 2026 test at 56,063 miles, the bike covered only 2,839 miles across just over four years, averaging under 710 miles annually. The DVSA record shows no gaps exceeding thirteen months between tests and no rapid accumulation phases. Such low yearly totals suggest prolonged standing periods rather than daily commuting, which carries its own risks for degradation unseen in MOT pass results. A buyer should still inspect components the MOT does not deeply assess. Standing storage promotes fork seal weeping, caliper piston seizure, and flat-spotted or cracked tyres despite adequate tread. The sparse history offers no advisories on suspension bushes, brake discs, or exhaust emissions to track, so the absence of flagged wear gives no assurance of component condition beneath the surface. Given the clean record and low mileage, previous ownership appears to have maintained statutory testing discipline without neglect of basic roadworthiness. Physical inspection of coolant hoses, chain tension, and structural corrosion around the frame and swingarm pivot remains essential before purchase.
