2010 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2L Diesel · FL60 PKK

The 2010 Vauxhall Corsa currently holds a valid MOT certificate following a pass on 2 March 2026 at 130,395 miles. The maintenance trend appears stable, with the vehicle consistently meeting roadworthiness standards. Notably, the most recent test on 27 February 2026 recorded a failure despite listing no specific defects, suggesting an administrative issue or an abandoned test that was swiftly rectified and passed five days later. The absence of recorded defects across the entire history indicates diligent upkeep and prompt rectification of any minor issues. Accumulating 130,395 miles over sixteen years equates to an annual average of roughly 8,150 miles, which sits squarely within typical usage parameters for this demographic. The mileage progression demonstrates consistent, gradual accumulation rather than erratic spikes. Between the February 2025 test at 118,918 miles and the March 2026 test at 130,395 miles, the vehicle covered 11,477 miles over a twelve-month period, confirming regular daily use rather than prolonged stationary periods. The data set is clean, showing no anomalous mileage reversals or unexplained gaps in the testing record. While the official record remains entirely free of defects, a clean MOT history does not substitute for a physical inspection of a sixteen-year-old supermini. A buyer should thoroughly examine the structural integrity of the sills and subframes, as corrosion often develops unseen beneath factory underseal. Suspension components, including the front coil springs and rear axle bushes, require close scrutiny for age-related deterioration, even if they currently pass a stationary check. The braking system demands a road test to verify that the calipers operate freely without binding, as the recent failed test with no recorded defects warrants ensuring the hydraulic system functions perfectly under load. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks and check the tyre condition for uneven wear, which could indicate misalignment or worn steering linkages. Basic consumables like wiper blades and light units should also be verified, as these are common failure points that owners sometimes overlook between tests.
