2015 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4L Petrol · FL65 MZN

This Vauxhall Corsa presents a remarkably clean MOT history, with the most recent test on 13 September 2025 at 23,941 miles showing no defects—just the third consecutive pass without advisories or failures. The trend is stable, with every annual inspection since 2021 (when the car was at 11,482 miles ) achieving a full pass, indicating consistent compliance with basic roadworthiness standards. The absence of recurring advisories or defects suggests either meticulous maintenance by previous owners or, more likely, minimal stress on core mechanical systems given the vehicle’s low mileage. That said, the lack of recorded advisories also means there’s no historical data to confirm whether minor wear items—such as suspension bushes, brake fluid condition, or tyre condition—have been proactively addressed beyond MOT minimums. The mileage pattern is striking for its uniformity and low annual accumulation, averaging just 2,176 miles per year over the past five tests. Between September 2021 (11,482 miles) and September 2025 (23,941 miles) , the car has covered 12,459 miles in four years , a pace that strongly suggests either infrequent use or prolonged periods of inactivity. Such low mileage reduces wear on drivetrain components, brakes, and suspension, but it also raises questions about fluid degradation—oils, brake fluid, and coolant—since these degrade over time regardless of mileage. The absence of mileage spikes or drops further implies the car has not been subject to heavy urban driving, towing, or aggressive acceleration, which would have likely triggered advisories on components like clutch wear, exhaust emissions, or wheel bearing play. Given the complete absence of defects or advisories in the MOT record, a buyer should still prioritise a pre-purchase inspection focusing on hidden wear items that MOTs don’t always catch. Check the suspension geometry for uneven tyre wear or loose bushes, as low-mileage cars can still develop stiffness in coil springs or ball joints if not regularly exercised. Inspect the brake system —look for uneven disc thickness, seized calipers, or fluid leaks, especially since the car has sat for extended periods where corrosion or fluid breakdown could occur. The exhaust system should be examined for rust or loose mounts, particularly on a Corsa, which is prone to surface corrosion in damp conditions. Finally, verify the structural integrity of the floor pans and sill areas, as standing cars are vulnerable to hidden corrosion that could compromise safety. While the MOT record is flawless, these areas are where low-mileage neglect often hides costly surprises.
