2008 Vauxhall Vivaro 2.0L Diesel · FM57 FKS

The vehicle currently presents as a roadworthy asset, having passed its most recent inspection on 7 March 2026 at 165,817 miles. The maintenance trend appears stable, though the history reveals a pattern of immediate failures followed by successful passes. The failure on 24 February 2026 occurred just 79 miles prior to the pass, suggesting a minor defect, likely a light bulb or a sensor-related item, that was rectified instantly rather than a deep-seated mechanical failure. At 165,817 miles, this 18-year-old Vivaro has averaged approximately 9,212 miles per year, which aligns with typical usage for a commercial vehicle of this age. The data shows a significant drop in activity between February 2024 and February 2025, where the vehicle covered only 473 miles in a full year. However, the 6,225 miles recorded in the year leading up to the March 2026 test indicate a recent increase in usage, putting fresh demand on the drivetrain, suspension, and braking components. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the structural integrity of the chassis and the condition of the suspension components. Given the age of the vehicle and the recent surge in mileage, checking for corrosion on the rear members and mounting points is essential. While the recent MOT records show no outstanding advisories, the high mileage necessitates a close look at worn suspension bushes, leaking dampers, and brake disc thickness to ensure the recent usage has not accelerated wear to a degree that would require immediate capital investment.
