2022 KIA Niro 4 EV Electric · FM72 MTZ

The 2022 KIA NIRO 4 EV presents a stable and exemplary maintenance trend, evidenced by consecutive clean MOT passes. The most recent test on 2 March 2026 at 14,710 miles recorded zero defects, mirroring the flawless pass on 20 September 2025 at 13,491 miles. This unblemished record indicates a vehicle that has remained mechanically sound and structurally intact throughout its early life. The recorded mileage of 14,710 miles over roughly four years equates to an annual average of approximately 3,678 miles, which is notably low for its age. Between the September 2025 and March 2026 tests, the vehicle covered just 1,219 miles over a six-month period. Such minimal accumulation suggests the vehicle has spent extended periods stationary or used exclusively for short, localized trips. While low mileage generally limits wear on consumables like brake discs and tyres, prolonged inactivity can lead to specific issues such as brake caliper seizure or flat-spotting on tyres, which a static MOT check might not fully capture. Despite the pristine MOT history, a physical inspection remains essential given the low-mileage profile. A buyer should closely examine the tyre sidewalls and tread for signs of perishing or flat-spotting, as rubber degrades with age and lack of use rather than just wear. Suspension bushes and coil springs require scrutiny for deterioration that can occur from prolonged static loads. The brake system demands a dynamic assessment; low-speed driving often prevents the pads from clearing rust from the discs, leading to binding calipers or uneven corrosion. Inspect the structural integrity of the underbody and battery casing mounts, ensuring no corrosion has taken hold during the vehicle's periods of inactivity.
