2011 Volkswagen Transporter 2.0L Diesel · FR11 JCB

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness with a consistent history of clean passes over the last five years. The most recent test conducted on 11 November 2025 at 138,308 miles resulted in no defects, mirroring the defect-free results seen in previous years. This stable trend suggests that the current owner has maintained the vehicle to a standard that avoids immediate mechanical or structural failures during the testing process. The mileage pattern is remarkably low for a vehicle of this age. Between November 2021 and November 2025, the van covered 2,056 miles, averaging just 514 miles per year. This is significantly below the national average of 9,221 miles per year for a 15-year-old vehicle, indicating that this 2011 Transporter has seen light use. The lack of rapid mileage accumulation reduces the wear on the drivetrain and braking components, though long periods of standing can sometimes lead to secondary degradation of rubber components or fluid-related issues despite the low mileage. Physical inspection should focus on the effects of long-term storage rather than mechanical wear. Given the age and the specific nature of the vehicle, a buyer must check for structural corrosion on the chassis sills and floor pans, as rust often develops even on vehicles driven infrequently. The buyer should also inspect the suspension bushes and tyres for cracking or perished rubber, as these materials degrade over time regardless of mileage. While the MOT record shows no history of binding calipers or leaking coil springs, a manual check of the brake system and shock absorbers is necessary to ensure the low mileage has not masked internal corrosion or perished seals.
