2012 Skoda Fabia 1.6L Diesel · FT62 LGE

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status with a clear improving trend following a period of mechanical inconsistency. The most recent test on 30 June 2025 at 118,465 miles passed with no defects recorded, indicating that the previous issues identified in earlier tests were successfully addressed. This clean result mirrors the pass on 1 July 2024, suggesting the car is currently being maintained to a standard that meets minimum legal safety requirements. The mileage pattern is consistent with a 14-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,400 miles per year. Data shows a significant deceleration in usage between July 2023 and July 2024, where the car covered only 775 miles in twelve months. However, usage increased to over 1,400 miles in the following year. This low-annual mileage suggests periods of standing, which can sometimes lead to the degradation of rubber-based components like suspension bushes or brake fluid moisture, despite the low overall odometer reading. A buyer should investigate the specific causes of the June and July 2023 failures to ensure the repairs were comprehensive rather than temporary fixes. While the current record is clean, the double failure at 117,056 miles indicates a mechanical or emissions fault that required two attempts to rectify. In-person inspection should focus on structural corrosion on the chassis and the condition of the suspension arm bushings, as the age of the vehicle makes these areas prone to wear regardless of the relatively low mileage.
