2003 Suzuki Alto 1.1L Petrol · FV53 VKO

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness, maintaining a consistent pass record across the last five annual tests. The most recent inspection conducted in September 2025 at 34,363 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This sustained trend of clean passes suggests a stable maintenance history where the vehicle has avoided the common mechanical depepletions or structural failures typically seen in cars of this age. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a 23-year-old Suzuki, averaging approximately 1,500 miles per year. Between October 2022 at 19,453 miles and September 2025 at 34,363 miles, the car covered 14,910 miles, indicating a consistent but light usage pattern. This low mileage generally limits wear on the drivetrain, engine components, and braking system, though long periods of inactivity can sometimes lead to the degradation of rubber components or fluid contamination that an MOT might not capture. Despite the clean MOT history, a buyer must focus the physical inspection on age-related factors rather than mileage-based wear. Pay close attention to signs of structural corrosion on the sills, floor pans, and exhaust mounting points, as low-use vehicles often suffer from surface rust if left stationary. Inspect the condition of the suspension bushes and tyres for sidew cracking, as the rubber may have perished due to age despite having tread depth. Checking the brake discs for pitting or seized calipers is also necessary given the vehicle has seen limited operational use.
