The vehicle’s MOT record tells a story of essentially clean roadworthiness punctuated only by minor wear‑related advisories, the most recent test on 21 July 2026 confirming a pass with no defects. Across five annual examinations the only recurring issues are a rear‑tyre tread‑cracking advisory in 2025 and split front wiper blades noted in 2024, indicating that the car has been mechanically sound but is beginning to show the early signs of age‑related component fatigue. At just 9,074 miles after seven years, the average annual accumulation sits around 1,300 miles, well below the typical UK usage pattern for a vehicle of this class. Such low mileage suggests limited wear on consumables such as brakes, suspension bushings and drivetrain bearings, yet it also raises the possibility of prolonged periods of inactivity, which can allow rubber components to dry out and metal parts to develop surface corrosion. The absence of any testing gaps – a MOT each year since 2022 – provides a consistent picture of the car’s condition over time, but the low mileage should prompt a focused check on any parts that may have suffered from lack of use. The rear‑tyre advisory warrants immediate visual and tactile inspection: look for cracking or perishing of the tread across the width of both tyres, assess sidewall integrity, and feel for any bulges or hard spots that could indicate internal damage. On a test drive, listen for thumping or vibration at higher speeds, especially when cornering, which may reveal uneven wear or structural tyre issues. Replacing the rear set is advisable before committing to purchase, as cracked tread can rapidly deteriorate and compromise grip, particularly in wet conditions. The split front wiper blades, while only an advisory, should be examined for effective contact with the windscreen, especially under rain. Verify that the blades clear the glass without streaking or leaving patches, and test the wiper motor for smooth operation without noise. Although no brake or suspension faults have been recorded, a prudent buyer should still check brake pedal feel for any pulsation, listen for squeal or grinding from the discs, and feel for looseness or knock in the suspension when traversing bumps, ensuring that the overall mechanical condition aligns with the clean MOT history.
