2016 Fiat Ducato 2.3L Diesel · FX16 BHV

The vehicle demonstrates stable roadworthiness with no defects recorded in its most recent 2024 MOT at 22,021 miles. The consistent passing of all tests since 2021, including the 2022 failure with no defects noted, suggests a maintenance history free of critical issues. The absence of advisories or failures in the final test indicates that the vehicle has been maintained to meet legal standards, with no immediate risks to roadworthiness. The vehicle’s mileage of 22,021 miles over 10 years equates to approximately 2,202 miles annually, significantly below average for its age. This suggests either infrequent use or prolonged periods of inactivity, which could affect components like the battery, brakes, and suspension. The MOT records show no gaps in testing, with annual checks since 2021, though the 2022 test recorded a failure without specific defects, raising questions about the accuracy of that entry. While no defects were recorded, the low mileage and absence of wear-related issues in the MOTs imply that components such as suspension bushes, brake discs, and exhaust systems may not have been subjected to typical wear. A physical inspection should focus on corrosion, particularly in the underbody and chassis, as well as the condition of the battery and brake fluid. The 2022 failure, though unexplained, warrants verification to ensure no underlying issues were overlooked.
