2005 MINI 1.6L Petrol · G3 RYA

The 2005 MINI MINI demonstrates stable roadworthiness, with no defects recorded in its last five MOT tests, including the most recent March 2026 inspection at 135,286 miles. All prior tests from 2022 to 2025 also passed without issues, indicating consistent maintenance and compliance. No structural corrosion, brake system faults, or exhaust emission failures were flagged, suggesting the vehicle has been well-maintained within the required standards. The mileage progression aligns with typical usage for a 21-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 6,442 miles annually. The MOT intervals are regular, with consistent mileage increments between tests—109,430 miles in February 2022, rising to 135,286 miles by March 2026. No significant gaps or abrupt mileage surges are evident, reinforcing the impression of steady, predictable usage. This pattern reduces concerns about excessive wear from sporadic or heavy use, though age-related degradation remains a factor. A buyer should prioritise inspecting the suspension system for worn bushes or coil springs, as these components often degrade over two decades of service. Brake discs and calipers, though unmentioned in MOT records, warrant scrutiny for uneven wear or corrosion, particularly given the vehicle’s age. Additionally, checking for rust in critical structural areas—such as sills, door sills, and underbody panels—is advisable, as corrosion can compromise integrity despite passing MOTs. The absence of recorded issues is positive, but physical inspection remains essential to confirm the vehicle’s ongoing mechanical soundness.
