2005 Honda XL125V 0.1L Petrol · GJ05 HDF

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status, evidenced by a consistent history of clean passes. The most recent test conducted in February 2026 at 11,095 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This performance mirrors the results from the 2025 and 2024 inspections, indicating that the mechanical and structural components have remained within acceptable parameters without recurring failures or escalating degradation. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a 21-year-old motorcycle, averaging approximately 528 miles per year. There is a significant gap in data between the November 2012 test and the February 2024 test, during which the vehicle covered only 240 miles. Since 2024, the usage has increased more regularly, covering 3,735 miles over the last two years. While the record is clean, the low cumulative mileage suggests the bike has been stored or stationary for long periods, which can mask mechanical wear on the drivetrain but may also indicate age-related perish. A buyer should focus their inspection on issues associated with long-term storage rather than high-mileage wear. Check rubber components, seals, and fuel lines for perished or cracking, as low usage often leads to materials drying out. Inspect the brake calipers and hoses for seizing and verify the fork seals for leaks caused by infrequent movement. Given the age of the vehicle, a thorough check of the frame for deep-seated corrosion is essential, though the MOT history has not flagged any structural integrity issues to date.
